14 Jul What Makes Our Musical Theatre Program Stand Out?
Musical Theatre has become one of Expression City’s most popular programs. What makes our program unique? When students enroll in class, they spend three or four hours weekly being trained in acting, dancing, and singing.
Affordably priced, our performance classes provide a great opportunity for students to not only rehearse and perform in a full theatrical production, but to also receive advanced focused training from theatre professionals. We limit our class sizes so that each student is given the chance to receive individualized instruction and get the most out of their training at Expression City.
Not only do we excel in training, but we also stand out in our welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. New students and parents both say that EC students are quick to reach out, include, and encourage. It is our mission at Expression City to provide a home for students to grow as artists and as individuals who use their talents to positively impact their community.
Musical Theatre Opportunities This Fall
This fall students may take part in two different opportunities to become part of the EC family and engage in full theatrical productions.
10-18 year olds can sing and dance their way through the midwest town of Bomont in Footloose. It’s the story of a new kid in town who brings dancing back to the community and helps them heal from tragedy. You may register online for Footloose here.
CHRISTMAS IN THE LAND OF OZ
7-13 year olds can enter the magical land of Oz in our production of Christmas in the Land of Oz. It’s the story of Dorothy’s family losing their Christmas spirit and finding it again with the help of Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, and the Munchkins. You may register online for this show here. We’re also introducing a new class on Saturdays this fall called Theatre Tech. Students may take advantage of the hands-on opportunity to be involved in everything that happens off stage during productions. Registration may be found here. In addition, students enrolled in one of our fall productions may join this class for a reduced fee.
We’re excited to share these opportunities for learning, growth, and friendship with middle Tennessee!
Lastly, EC students have had a fantastic time at musical theatre camp this week. Only one more week to go. Come see the performance on Friday, July 21st, at 6:30 pm at Freedom Middle School in Franklin. Check out the video below–don’t they sound amazing already!
